Behind it all
For all her life, Aisyah has been selling clothes. From the night markets of Malaysia to markets in Winnipeg and other Manitoba towns and cities. With the help of her family, Halisya Clothing plans to grow and continue providing Manitobans with their locally owned wardrobe needs.
How it began...
Our family-run business began in the early 2000s as a means to supporting a family of what is now 6. With the little merchandise we had, we were able to find success in Winnipeg's downtown Fringe Festival. Over the years we were able to streamline our business and bring more of our products to every outing. At times we found ourselves amidst heavy downpour, gusting winds, or sometimes both. Despite the conditions, we made do. Eventually we found a place more permanent than the weekend festivals or weekly markets.
We now frequent Manitoba's largest festivals and events. Our store is located on the first floor of the Manitoba Clinic in the Vendor Hub.
